Last One Out by Jane Harper
I picked up Last One Out expecting a fast-paced thriller, and it absolutely delivered. From the very first chapter, I was hooked. Jane Harper has a way of creating immediate tension, and I found myself saying, “Just one more chapter,” well into the night.
What I enjoyed most was how the story balanced suspense with strong character development. The main character felt real and relatable, and I was fully invested in what would happen next. The plot was tightly constructed, with plenty of twists and turns that kept me guessing without ever feeling over-the-top. Every time I thought I had things figured out, the story took another unexpected turn.
Harpe’s writing is crisp and engaging, making this a quick and highly entertaining read. The pacing never lagged, and there was a steady sense of unease that made it hard to put down.
If you enjoy thrillers with compelling characters, sharp writing, and surprising twists, Last One Out is a great choice. I flew through it and thoroughly enjoyed every page.
