Damon Ich by Aaron D. Key being the second in The Wheel of Eight Book series by the author is a superbly written and well-executed fantasy novel. The author certainly has a highly descriptive way with words creating memorable scenes for the main character and imbuing him with distinctive qualities. The lyrical language is noteworthy and sets the tone for the entire book nicely. As an introvert Damon lives in his own little beautiful world, is a gardener, yet he has the ability to time travel and changes his surroundings at will. Mostly he uses his ability to help other people, but of course, in any well-written story, there are other more insidious forces at work. You will enjoy this well-paced and compelling work of literature. Few authors can combine expert characterization with a lovely fantasy story, one filled with adventure, danger, and wonder, but this author does that and more. Highly recommend.
