Forget Me Not by Stacy Willingham

Forget Me Not pulled me in from the very beginning with its haunting atmosphere and layered tension. Claire, a journalist still reeling from the unsolved disappearance of her sister years ago, returns home to South Carolina only to find herself surrounded by old ghosts and new mysteries. What I loved most was how Stacy Willingham blends family drama with psychological suspense—the story feels deeply personal while still delivering the twists you expect from a great thriller. The setting is incredibly vivid. The heat, the vineyards, the creaking farmhouse—it all creates a sense of claustrophobia that mirrors Claire’s state of mind. I felt like I was walking beside her, flipping through diaries, piecing together the past while second-guessing everyone around her. Willingham has a gift for planting seeds of doubt and making you question every character’s motives. This isn’t a thriller that races from one shocking moment to the next. Instead, it simmers. The suspense builds slowly, which made the big reveals hit even harder. Some parts move at a quieter pace, but for me that only heightened the eerie, lingering unease. By the final chapters, I couldn’t put it down. The themes of memory, guilt, and the way secrets shape families stayed with me long after I finished. Forget Me Not isn’t just about solving a mystery—it’s about how the past never really loosens its grip. A beautifully written, atmospheric, and twisty read that fans of psychological suspense will absolutely devour.
