Some Days

Some days it feels life is so unfair. Why do bad things, horrific things happen to good people? That is the unanswered questions, and something I will never understand. How does one stop feeling victimized by the universe? What do you have against me and my family? It seems there has been an inordinate amount of suffering, certainly enough to go around. For what? What lesson are we learning? Compassion, empathy, grace, forgiveness? I have learned all of those things many times over. The lesson has been learned, the steps forward have been made. I feel defeated, angry and bereft. Where is the good?

Operation Beautiful

I came across this and thought I should share. For those of you who have suffered from low self esteem or even no self esteem, Operation Beautiful comes to the rescue. This is an empowering movement started by a young lady named Caitlin. Basically, she and many others across the country leave little post it notes in hidden places, mirrors, windows, etc. with esteem boosting messages such as "You are beautiful just the way you are", "The world is better with you in it", and others. This is a grass roots effort that I firmly believe in. Caitlin's book is available at Amazon. com, Barnes and Noble, and Borders. Support this effort today to build up women; we all need to band together and become a force of power and grace. If you happen to like this idea, leave a couple of post it notes around, and see what happens to your day. You are beautiful!!!

Hmmmnnn...

Trying to take care of myself. Not much into the writing stuff today. Hard to stay motivated even when I desperately need the money. Allen has a interview in the works, always feel like I am going to jinx us somehow if I even discuss it or hope for the best. It has been 18 months for him being unemployed. Never, ever, and I mean ever thought this would happen to us. On top of everything. We're on the edge of the precipice, it's either fall off or carry on. Well, we're carrying on.
